Introduction
Economic inequality not only compels one to live a cursed life of poverty, it gives rise to revolution and crime. Poverty is such a disparate human condition, which forces a human to live in the darkness of despair, sorrow and pain.
A cursed life in which people yearn for the basic necessities of life – bread, clothes and houses. Healthy nutrition, medicine and employment is his dream. Poverty is such an invisible problem that disintegrates a person and his social life. This problem has become a curse for India.
Poverty line
Tribal people, Dalits and working-class and agricultural laborers living in cities in India fall under the category of poverty. Currently 29.8 percent of the Indian population lives below the poverty line.
Those people fall in the category of poverty, whose daily income is less than Rs 28.65 in the city and Rs 22.24 in the villages. According to statistical data, a person earning 30 rupees a day is not poor. Poverty is being reduced by such statistics, which is a matter of anxiety.
Causes of Poverty The growing population is the main cause of poverty in India. This increases the rate of illiteracy, poor health and lack of financial resources.
The economy is not growing at the speed at which the population is increasing in India. This will result in loss of jobs. About 20 million new jobs are needed for such a population.

If this does not happen then crime and rebellion will increase along with poverty. Unequal distribution of resources of income also increases poverty. In government institutions, a person earns more money by applying less time-labor, the same work a person gets very less money by applying more time-labor in individual institutions. This inequality also gives rise to crime and frustration along with poverty.

Caste system is also the reason for poverty’s in India. Chambal and Vindhya regions of Madhya Pradesh are such places where social discrimination is at its peak. Here the upper and lower castes are treated differently. He is denied the right to equality, due to which he never gets out of the morass of poverty. Inequality in the agricultural system also promotes poverty.
Due to the right of rich farmers on the land, the number of land is increasing. Families of agricultural laborers, a large number of small and marginal farmers, laborers working in non-agricultural areas live in extreme poverty. Corruption also plays an important role in increasing poverty. The corruption and scams of crores of rupees in the country in the last 20–25 years have made the poor poorer.
Neo-liberal policies and policies of foreign investment in retail have proved detrimental to the poor due to increasing capitalism. Increasing salaries and facilities of politicians and officials and the wealth of billions and trillions collected by them is deepening the gap between rich and poor every day.
Results Of Poverty:
Revolution and crime – crores of people suffering from the curse of poverty are facing various kinds of crises and exploitation today. The system also wreaks havoc on most of the poor. Police harassment also has to be suffered by the poor, due to which the poor are leading to crime. Today there is a flood of crimes in the society. The reason for this is economic inequality.

Along with development, the reality of unemployment and poverty is felt today putting a question mark on the Indian economy. Poverty has led to an increase in incidents such as violence and exploitation. For political selfishness, communal riots are ignited, whose victims are made poor, settlements also burn the poor, people living on the pavement are killed.
There is no sensation anywhere. This sense of neglect hurts the poor at some place and the result is a crime. When the country suffers from malnutrition and starvation due to poverty, youth will be frustrated due to economic inequality, farmers will move towards suicide, then the dream of a new India will not come true. The youth of the country will move towards Naxalism, terrorism, agitate on the streets and all its enthusiasm will flow into the jugaad to feed.
Measures To Stop : – In view of the increasing poverty in the country, we all have to make efforts together and free the country from the curse of poverty. Government participation in this is also mandatory.
The curse of poverty can be prevented by following measures-
Adequate land, water, education, health, fuel and transport facilities should be expanded for the poor.
Self-employment and wage employment programs should be coordinated.
Families with no skills, no assets and no working adults,
Social plans should be made for such families and they should be given protection.
Exploitation of the poor should be prevented by large farmers and feudal lords in the villages.
Most of the benefits of poverty prevention programs should be given to the poor instead of the rich.
Take two classes of the poor. In a class, they are poor, who have skills and can be self-employed.
In the second category, those who are poor have no skills and are dependent on wages,
Policies should be set aside for their advancement.
Small scale industries should be encouraged.
Poverty prevention programs should be reviewed and evaluated every year and private ownership of resources,
Control should be made on the uneven distribution and use of income and resources.
Many programs are being run by the government for poverty alleviation and billions of rupees are being spent in their implementation, even then the poor are not getting their full benefits. Hundreds of schemes are being run by the government like Rural Health Mission, National Social Assistance Scheme, Education Cooperation Scheme, Antyodaya Anna Yojana, Girl Child Protection Scheme, Group Life Insurance Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana, for India. There is a need that if the benefit of all is available only to the poor, then the curse of poverty can be derived.
Conclusion :-
Assessing poverty properly in the present context is also a challenge. Today each issue is being understood on the basis of technology.
Industrialization has become the first goal of today, no poor should have eyes, but colored TV is available in the house. Every year new figures and listed targets are put in place, every item in the system, each stage is measured in statistics, each requirement is met in percentage and an attempt is made to measure poverty on the same basis.
It is not that poverty cannot be eradicated, but selfishness hinders this campaign. The system has always made this issue an issue considering it important. This thinking has been playing an important role in maintaining the curse of poverty, but those who keep this thinking do not know that they are affected by this problem somewhere.
According to the famous economist Amartya Sen-
“People should not be allowed to become so poor that they started being disgusted with them, or they started harming society. In this view, the importance and inconvenience of the society, rather than the sufferings and sorrows of the poor, seems to be more important.
The problem of poverty is worrying to the same extent, as far as it is due to those who are not poor, they also have to face problems. ” This statement demonstrates the rise of revolution and crime because of the curse of poverty, which we should stop as expected, so a sound society can be set up.
