Child labour has been made a business by the big people and mafias. Due to which child labor is increasing day by day and childhood of children is getting worse. This ruins the future of children, at same time spreading poverty in country and intercepting the development of the country.
Child labour is illegal in all countries including India. The problem of child labor is getting very fierce in form of time. If this problem is not uproot , then the future of the entire country could be in crisis.
What is child labor ?
When a child is deprived of his childhood and forcing them to work forcefully, it is called child labor. These children are like slave and they are kept away from their family.
In other words, any kind of work done in exchange for money or any other greed during any child’s childhood is called child labor.
In simple terms, children who are under 14 years of age, by snatching away their right to education, sports, education, harassing them physically, mentally and socially, by making them work for less money By exploiting, transforming their childhood into labor is called child labor.
Child labor is completely illegal. This type of wages is also condemned by every section in the society. According to the 24th Article of the Constitution of India 1950, getting children below the age of 14 to work as laborers, factories, hotels, dhabas, domestic servants etc. comes under child labor. If a person is found to be doing so, there is a provision for appropriate punishment. According to the latest report, more than 35 million children in India work as child labor. Child labor is highest in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan.
Reason of child labor
(i) The biggest reason for child labour is poverty in our country. People from poor families are unable to live their livelihood, so they send their children for child labor.
(ii) Due to lack of education, parents understand that the sooner the child learns to earn, the sooner it will be good for them.
(iv) Child labour is also being promoted because children are given less money as a byproduct of work, due to which people prefer to hire children more.
(v) Millions of children are orphans in our country, this is one of the reasons for increasing child labor. Some mafia people send those children to beg and wage labor.
(vi) Sometimes children have family compulsions because some accidents happen due to which there is no one to earn a living in their family, so they were forced to work in hotels, dhabas, tea shops, factories.
(vii) The population growth rate in India is increasing at a very fast rate, due to which the value of goods in need is increasing day by day. Due to which poor people are unable to maintain their family, therefore all the family members have to work, including the children, so the children have to work hard even if they do not want to.
(viii) One reason for child labour is corruption, that is why their owners at big hotels, dhabas and factories put children on wages without any fear, they know that if caught, they will pay bribe Will be left out, that’s why corruption plays an important role in child labor.
(ix) Government of India has enacted laws to curb child labour, but there are many flaws in those laws, people take advantage of this to carry out child labor and many times the law is not followed even in rules.
The consequences of child labor
(i) The best moment of life is childhood, when we are children, we are not worried about anything. We play with toys and everybody loves us as well as we can read whatever we want. But the children who are employed in child labor work, they never play and are not able to do what they want. Due to which his entire childhood is spent in working as a laborer.
(ii) Children who work as child laborers often become malnourished because their owners make them work more but do not give them anything to eat. Due to which there is lack of energy in their body and they gradually become malnourished.
(iii) Many children and girls are also physically abused while doing child labour, which is double hit on them. According to a report, about 40% of the children who are child laborers are physically abused. This is a very serious matter, but it is never taken care of.
(iv) Children often make mistakes while working. Mistakes happen to older people as well, but it is easy to scold children, so their bosses who work with them give them mental torture. Which adversely affects the brain of a small child.
(v) Parents of children hire their children for a few rupees as a child in childhood, but they do not know that if they will read and write, they will not get a job and they will have to work for their whole life. . Due to which his entire life will be spent in poverty.
(vi) Most of the children of poor families are unable to read and write, that is why they are unable to do good jobs and cooperate in the development of the country, so the country’s economic development also slows down.
(vii) People use abusive language, where children are paid wages. Also their living is also not good. Due to which children too, because of being with them, their language and their way of living become tolerant and their mental condition also becomes weak due to which a good society cannot develop.
(viii) The child remains uneducated. The future of the country starts moving towards darkness. With this, unemployment, poverty starts to increase further.
(ix) Children’s physical, mental, intellectual and social development is stopped by getting children to work.

Child labor prevention measures
Child labour is a revile for our society which won’t permit our society to get vile free. We ought to consistently remember that as opposed to getting the kid to work, we offer him no courtesies by giving him cash or food, rather we play with his future.
(i) To abolish child labour, we must first change our thinking. To end child labor, first of all, no child should be hired in their homes or offices.
(ii) Strong and stringent laws should be enacted to prevent child labor. So that no one is scared of getting child labor.
(iii) If you come across any child labor issue, first of all, you should report to the nearest police station.
(iv) We should raise our voice against the stony hearts that shelter child labor.
(v) The common man should also be aware of child labor and prevent it from happening in his society.

(vi) Poor parents should pay full attention to the education of their children because today the government is providing facilities like free education, food and medicines in some schools.
